Government
Thailand is governed by a constitutional
monarchy with a parliamentarian form of government. The Bangkok Metropolitan
Administration is administered by an elected governor and is divided in to 24
districts. The country is divided in to 76 provinces, each administered by an
appointed governor, which are sub-divided into districts, sub-districts. Tambons

The Walking Buddha is located at the center
of the Phuttha Monthon (Buddha Mandala) in Nakorn Pathom province suburb of
Bangkok. The construction of the precinct as a center for all Buddhist teachings
was first initiated in 1957 (B.E 2500) to commemmorate the 2500th
anniversary of the Buddha’s Parinivana.
